The Love Birds with their bright colors,
you would think they would be in a
tropical area but I bound these guys in
Scottsdale AZ. These birds are native to
Spouthwest Africa. They were origi-
nally sold as pets and after a number
of escapees their numbers grew. They
were first documented to be part of
the Phoenix/Scottsdale wildlife in the
1980’s. They found ways to adapt to the
hotter climate and as it gets to be over
100 degrees they will flock to buildings
with large air vents.
