I lived in Canyon Lake for a number of years
which was the beginning phase of my interest in
bird Photography. It is near Lake Elsinore which
is on the birds’ migratory path that stretches
from the Great Basin of Utah and Nevada to the
Salton Sea, the Sea of Cortez, and as far south as
Guatemala. Watching the Pelicans come in large
flocks was great entertainment. There were some
favorite gathering places. One was appropriately
named Pelican Island.
