In Scottsdale there were a lot of Quail. The Gambel Quail are fun to watch as they putter around, come in for a drink of water and lead their babies
around the yard. I took this photograph of Mom and her babies in our below ground patio. The Mom laid her eggs in an area that the babies did not
have the strength to make it up the steps. The Dad kept coming by with his words of encouragement but no use. So I put a ramp down the steps and a
box nest for them to use overnight until they figure it out. By the next day, the parents had a class on how to climb the ramp and successfully evacuated
the area. They were in a vulnerable area with the Owls and other predators around.
